Our Spartan Warriors have returned from 8 nights in the wonderful city of Toronto. Two of our teams competed against North Toronto Huskies, Pelham Panthers & Toronto Triple Threat over six gruelling matches. During our tour of Toronto we also visited Niagara Falls, CN Tower, we watched the Toronto Raptors take on the Boston Celtics, visited a few shopping malls, played backyard basketball at one of the opposition coach's houses and had a private tour of the new Jordan store. The Spartans made new friendships with our Canadian hosts and we are looking forward to our next tour of the U.S.

We will be going on a luxury tour to San Francisco. During our tour we will play in tournaments against local teams, watch the Golden State Warriors at the new Chase Centre, visit Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge and play outdoor games during the evening with music and food. We will also be staying at an amazing hotel which has plenty for children to do. We will only be a short trams ride from Westfield Mall for shops like Champs, Footlocker, Abercrombie & Fitch & Lids.

A massive thank you to Wayne and the team for giving our son such a wonderful experience in Canada. He is still talking about it! As parents we felt we were kept fully informed at all stages of the process and the Twitter feed was invaluable for giving us a little window into their world.  We really enjoyed receiving the regular updates and seeing what an amazing time they were having. It’s a big commitment to take a group of children abroad, so we really appreciate it.

The Canada tour was a once in a lifetime experience. Going to the NBA game was the highlight of the tour and is an opportunity I would never have got without Spartans. Although the games were tough, I really enjoyed playing in a team against people better than me. Canada was different to what I thought it was going to be and was a fantastic place to go to and I am very grateful for the opportunity to go on the tour.

I am so incredibly appreciative of how the coaches worked with the children. They are passionate about basketball, work hard to develop each and every child on the court and off court, communicate well with the kids, and regarding my son - his love of basketball and playing has developed because of Spartans which is wonderful.

My son had a wonderful time and hasn’t stopped talking about different stories and adventures from the trip. I think it was a very good experience for him, not only playing basketball at a high level but being away from home with the responsibility of what to spend each day and what to eat for lunch/dinner was excellent. We really appreciate all the planning that went into a trip like this and the level of detail and care taken. Student and parent briefings were very thorough. The Twitter updates were excellent and really made me feel like I was a part of the trip.

I liked how we had a mix of time shopping, seeing the sites, playing basketball and lounging around. My favourite bit was the Raptors’ game which was interesting to see the atmosphere of a NBA match. Overall, it was one of the best experiences of my life!

We both want to say you a big thankyou for managing the tour of Canada so well. Our son had lots of fun and enjoyed the trip. He did not want to come back from Canada!!! Thanks for the daily update on twitter along with the wonderful snaps of boys. Do convey our thanks to other 2 coaches also, who have been there for the boys during the trip. It was a wonderful experience for my son and it was a very well organised tour and all credit goes to you! As a parent, I was so relaxed seeing those twitter messages and photos.
